HAVE YOU EVER SMELLED YOUR FURNACE?
We are all familiar with the burning dust smell furnaces make when they are turned on for the first time in several months. However, if you are smelling something that does not go away after a few minutes, it is likely that your furnace needs to be serviced.Â
Here are some common furnace smells and what they mean:
Furnace Smells Musty
A mildew smell may mean that fungi is growing in an area of moisture buildup. Your furnace or ductwork may need to be cleaned.
Furnace Smells Like Burning Plastic
This could potentially be a serious problem with a cracked heat exchanger or an overheated motor - turn off your furnace and call for service as soon as possible.
Furnace Smells Like Rotten Eggs
A sulfur smell means you have a natural gas leak. Immediately turn off your furnace, move to an area of fresh air, and call your local gas company.

Plumbing - Residential - New Installs
New construction plumbing generally fits into two categories, rough in plumbing and finish plumbing. Rough-in plumbing is the process of installing vents, sewers, connections and water lines. During the plumbing finish phase, plumbers will finish installations and connections to get the home ready for use.
During The Rough In Plumbing Phase:
- Pipes are routed through wall cavities
- Vent stacks are run to the roof
- Drain lines and water supply lines are connected to sewer systems, septic systems, or main water supply valves
- Pipe connections are made
- Excavation and laying of underground pipes that run from utility connections to a primary structure is completed.
- No fixtures or end elements are installed at this phase
- Kitchen & Bath plumbing fixtures are chosen
During The Finish Plumbing Phase:
- Installation and connection of Kitchen, Bath & all other plumbing fixtures is completed
- Caps on drain and water supply pipes are removed
- Under sink drain assemblies are installed
- Water supply values and water supply lines are installed
- Caulking, sealing, and testing of new connections is completed

We will replace your old Poly-B Piping
Polybutylene pipe was installed between 1978 – 1995 and is a gray flexible water pipe. The big problem; it leaks a lot!
Polybutylene Pipe ReplacementÂ
Common issues include:
- Leaks throughout the system when higher levels of chlorine exist in the water supply.
- Improper installation of the pipe in homes where fittings were installed too tightly can result in cracks causing leaks.
- Improper installation of bent piping, when put under stress, can cause leaks and damage to homes.
- Leaks caused by installation near high heat areas including hot water tanks, in the attic, and other areas of extensively high temperatures.
- Leaks are caused by the use of acetal (white or gray) fittings to connect pipes rather than the preferred metal fittings.
Our expert team will help you create the problem-free, mess-free, safe home that you and your family want to live in.
